SPECIFIC NEEDS

Land Preservation
Developers are looking to the woodlands surrounding Rockhaven for home building, including land next to the river. Rockhaven principals met with the primary developer and requested a donation of the land adjacent to the Rockhaven property (riverfront including the beach). The developer donated 7 acres of land to Rockhaven and thus we are working to preserve an important and adjacent riparian habitat.

Sustainable Energy and Building
Rockhaven is looking to raise the seed money to develop a set of projects to care for earth and live sustainably. These include: Organic Gardening, installing energy efficienct lighting and space conditioning, upgrading energy-using facilities, environmentally friendly pool care and maintenance, solar cooking, electricity generation and water heating. Rockhaven also hopes to host natural building workshops in the future.

Site Maintenance
Rockhaven site and grounds require extensive maintenance. Your donation will help to preserve this special place for years to come.
